About us


Indus Health Australia (IHA) Limited is a Not-for-Profit organisation registered in Australia with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. In partnership with Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN), IHA strives to break down barriers to healthcare access for vulnerable individuals without the financial ability to pay for these services. IHA has a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, which means all donations from 30th June 2023 are now tax deductible in Australia.

Indus Health Australia’s activities include creating awareness about IHHN, arranging fundraising activities, and mobilising individuals and corporate volunteers to support IHHN with finances, knowledge, and skill transfer.

Dr. Imran Kassam

I, Dr Imran Kassam, works as a cardiologist and have been associated with community work throughout my career.

More recently I have been associated with APMA, Australian Pakistan Medical Association for more than 10 years, and have served at multiple positions including past President. As part of my professional life, I have been a fellow of Australian College of Physician, Cardiac Society of Australia, European Society of Cardiology and a fellow of Heart Rhythm Society of North America. I have also been engaged in educational activities including currently being the Conjoint lecturer at UNSW and Macquarie University Hospital.

I have always been engaged in community work including fundraising for multiple causes including Treatment of cancer patients, Charity for World Vision, Cancer Council of Australia, Fred Hollows Foundation to name a few.

My work also incorporates engaging in Pakistani Diaspora in Australia particularly Sydney and had been engaged in charities who are doing an amazing work both here and in Pakistan including CLAN, Edhi International and Human Appeal international. I am also serving as a director for Indus Health Australia.
