How Your Giving Tuesday Donation is Saving Lives

Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that encourages people to give back to their communities and support causes they care about. At Indus Hospital & Health Network, we are honoured to be part of this movement, and we are excited to share with you the impact your donation can have on saving lives.

The Power of Radical Generosity

Radical generosity is about giving without expectation of reward or recognition. It is trusting that your donations are making a real difference in the lives of others. When you give with radical generosity, you become part of a larger movement that seeks to transform lives and communities.

How Your Donation Saves Lives

Here are just a few examples of the immense impact your donations make:

  • Funding Critical Surgeries: Your donation can help fund life-saving surgeries for people who cannot afford them. From appendicectomies to biopsies, your gift gives someone a second chance at life.
  • Providing Maternal Care: Every day, thousands of women die in childbirth due to lack of access to basic medical care. Your donation provides prenatal care, delivery services, and postnatal care to mothers in need.
  • Supporting Childhood Cancer Treatments: Cancer is a leading cause of death by disease (after infancy) among children. Your donation funds treatment and psychosocial support services for children, giving them a fighting chance at a healthy future.

Real Stories, Real Impact

Uzma’s heart swells with gratitude as she recalls her journey with Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN). Ten years ago, her sister’s successful operation at Indus gave her the confidence to turn to IHHN for her own care. Five years ago, Uzma gave birth to her first child at Indus Hospital. Despite her baby’s weak condition, the hospital’s free and compassionate care helped them both recover. Overwhelmed with emotion, Uzma memorably recalls the 20 days her child spent within the confines of the hospital, slowly being nursed back to health. The child was also provided safe haven in the nursery, ensuring their developmental process is not hindered.

Uzma used to be anxious about endless bills, but her and her baby’s treatment, tests, and blood transfusions were all free of cost. She thanks God for the hospital’s selfless care, which gave her child a second chance at life. Uzma’s trust in Indus only deepened when she returned 1.5 years later to give birth to her second child. She firmly believes that Indus’ exceptional care is a blessing from God, and that her children owe their health and well-being to the hospital.

With tears of joy in her eyes, Uzma urges other women to seek care at Indus, and offers her heartfelt prayers for the hospital’s continued service to humanity.
